the holidays have been kind to me yet again, with opportunities aplenty
to spend time with friends and family, as well as providing me with
timely moments of entertainment and outlets to seek rest and solitude
for my body and soul. something for every occasion, as they say. hsi
was kind enough to loan his guitar to me so i've continued from where i
left off in sydney in striving to improve my guitar playing, and i've
been reading a lot of books as well. so far in the past 2 weeks i've
read about 5 different books, but the one most worthy of mention is the
alchemist by paulo coelho. read it, you'll know what i mean. the last
time i felt this good after reading a book was when i read the 5 people
you meet in heaven by mitch albion. hmmm come to think of it i also
took only a few hours to finish that one as well... why do all the good
ones take such a short time to finish?
anyway. apart for the sporadic running of errands, family meals and the
occasional basketball and tennis game, i've spent most nights at the
loof. i'm really happy for my friends, the bar seems to be doing well
and attracting a decent crowd. sometimes i actually head up to loof
alone with a book in hand, just prepared to have a quiet drink in the
corner but somehow there always seems to be someone that i can chat to
every night. kinda like the zouk members feeling i guess, the one where
you can just rock up on your own and you'll always find someone you can
talk to or hang out with. let's just hope that this can last, that
would be brilliant. will be heading off to nz with the family this wed
but will be back on the 31st, new year's eve so i'll see you guys then.
ciao bella!
